Selling a VINTAGE Super Champion Tubular Racing Rim for sew-up tires with 36 holes. Super Champion was a French brand of high quality bicycle road rims for competitiuon and road use. They eventually were purchased by Wolber.
Vintage and crusty - Made in France. The red "Super Champion" label is still in pretty good shape. As shown in photos, there is a substantial amount of mastic glue remaining on the rim surface. Many scuffs and discoloring of the other surfaces that might be cleaned up with fine steel wool and elbow grease.
The racing sew-up tire that was mounted on this rim was removed decades ago and I kept the rim to mount new tubulars on for stretching and curing purposes. I have no idea as to the condition of this rim. Would make a great addition to any classic, vintage road show bike.
