    Description

This is a vintage 1984 booklet entitled "Mr. Halley's Comet, Awaited 76 Years, Coming Soon!, Everyone's Complete Guide to Seeing the Celestial Event, by the Editors of Sky & Telescope".   Copyright 1984 Sky Publishing Corporation, Illustrated by Ken Condon.
The booklet is 30-pages long and measures approximately 5.5" x 8.5".  It was distributed in preparation for the nationwide viewing frenzy of 1985-1986, similar to the recent year's total solar eclipse!
The booklet contains reference sections about Halley's Comet, including:
    - What Is a Comet?
    - Why is Halley Special?
    - Viewing the Comet
    - Halley's Comet Timetable
    - How to Use the Viewing Charts
    - Viewing Charts for Northern U.S. and Southern U.S
    - Path of Halley's Comet Through the Stars
    - Using Binoculars and Telescopes
    - Take a Picture of My Comet
    - Halley Space Missions
    - Warning: Crackpots on the Loose! (conspiracy theories about the world ending...)
    - If You Want to Learn More
    - Anatomy of a Comet
The back page is an ad for Bushnell, division of Bausch & Lomb.
It is in Excellent condition, especially for its age, with no markings, tears, folds, or creases.
If you don't already have this item, it will be a fun addition to your vintage Halley's Comet or Bushnell Telescope collection!
